A diploma translation is needed for studies, work, qualification recognition or submitting documents to foreign institutions.
Often not only the diploma but also the diploma supplement or academic transcript needs translation. Before translating, check whether notarial certification or apostille is required.

Before processing, we review the document and clarify the destination country. If the client provides instructions from the receiving authority, we take them into account.
We help determine the sequence of services: translation, notarisation, Apostille or document legalisation.
We help prepare personal, educational, legal and company documents for translation, certification and submission in Latvia or abroad.

A diploma translation is often more than one page. Universities or employers may require the diploma supplement, transcript, programme name and a clear translation of the qualification.

To receive Apostille or place a translation order, bring the document originals to our office or send scanned documents to birojs@pfat.lv.

In some situations, yes, but the sequence must be checked before preparation.
A notarised translation is needed when the institution requires an officially certified translation rather than a simple text translation. We check the required certification before processing the order.
This depends on the receiving authority's requirements. If the client has its instructions, we take into account whether an agency-certified translation is sufficient or a notarised translation is required.
Yes. A photo or PDF is enough for the first review, although the original may be needed before final preparation.
We will clarify whether the diploma supplement should be included in the translation and whether an Apostille is required before translation.
