For submission to the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy, PFAT prepares translations from Latvian into Russian in accordance with the applicable formatting requirements for such translations.
The translation is prepared by a translator or organisation known to the Consular Section and meeting its requirements for translation formatting. PFAT provides this service for translations from Latvian into Russian.
For PFAT services involving submission to the Consular Section of the Russian Embassy, we prepare translations from Latvian into Russian. Send the document before ordering so we can assess the translation volume and preparation.
The translation is signed by a translator who meets the Consular Section’s requirements for such translations. The translation is therefore prepared in a form accepted by the Consular Section.
To place a translation order, the original documents must be brought to our office: Baznīcas iela 39, Riga, LV-1010. After reviewing the documents, the project manager will confirm the details, price and completion deadline.
Before starting, we review personal data, the issuing authority, date and language. If the client provides requirements for an Apostille, legalisation or notarisation, we take them into account during preparation.
We do not determine the service from its name alone. We first review the document, clarify the destination country and take the receiving authority’s requirements into account if the client provides them.

The Consular Section usually accepts documents in Russian, so documents in another language require a translation.
For an initial assessment you can send a photo or PDF, but to complete the order the original documents usually must be submitted at the office.

In addition to translation, submission may require an Apostille, legalisation or notarisation. If the receiving authority has set such requirements, send them with the document.
A notarised translation is needed when the institution requires an officially certified translation rather than a simple text translation. We check the required certification before processing the order.
